Job Opening for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under DST-SERB project

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for a temporary position to work at DA-IICT on a SERB
(Science & Engineering Research Board) sponsored research project financed by the Department of Science
& Technology (DST, GoI), India. The project details, requisite qualification & experience etc. are given
below:

Title of the Project: Multiscale Modeling and Simulation of complex Plasma Dynamics during High Power
Millimeter Wave Breakdown.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 1 post
Consolidated salary Rs. 31,000/- p.m. + HRA
Essential
Qualification
M.Sc. (Physics/ Applied Physics) or M.Tech (Computational Science/ Computer Science/ Electronics & Communication/ Electrical/ Electronics/ ICT) or Equivalent.
Experience in Scientific Programming with C or FORTRAN.
Desirable
Qualification
Knowledge of Computational Electromagnetics and basic plasma science.
Knowledge of parallel programming. Fluent in English.
NET/GATE Qualified.
Period of
appointment:
This post is purely temporary for a duration of 3 years (1year + renewable each year). Appointment will be made initially for 1 year and further extendable subject to satisfactory performance. It would, therefore, not confer any right for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in DA-IICT. However, the selected candidate will be encouraged to apply for the PhD program of DA-IICT as per available guidelines.
