Applications are invited from suitable candidates for a temporary position to work at DA-IICT on a Climate Change Dept., Govt. of Gujarat sponsored Project as per details given below:

Title of the Project: Dew Map of Gujarat

Position and Stipend Research Assistant – 1 position
Rs. 12,500/- p.m. all inclusive
Essential Qualifications
  • BTech in Computer Science or MSc in Geoscience
  • Knows machine learning techniques (e.g., neural networks)
Desirable Qualifications 
  • Good in using climate models such as EC-EARTH RCP8.5 based on the meteo data
  • Managerial skill desirable in order to collect field data of dew from some strategic locations in Gujarat
  • Knowledge of programming in Python
Duration of Appointment:
  • 2 years
  • Appointment will be made initially for 1 year and further extendable subject to satisfactory performance.
Job Description
  • To collect meteo data from all weather stations of Gujarat
  • Study those data based on some appropriate weather model for dew formation
  • To collect ground truth/data from multiple locations in Gujarat
  • Match those data with the theoretical model
  • Improve the model based on machine learning techniques
  • Create Gujarat State specific model and map
