Prof. Hemant A. Patil was invited by Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore (SRI-B) to spend Sabbatical Leave during May-Aug. 2019 along with three PhD students, namely, Mr. Nirmesh J. Shah, Ms. Madhu R. Kamble, and Mr. Ankur T. Patil,  of Speech Research Lab @ DA-IICT. In addition, Prof. Patil took initiative in supervising 05 summer interns (from IIT Hyderabad, IIT BHU, Jadavpur University, IIIT Hyderabad, and Delhi Technological University) of SRI-B. Prof. Patil delivered prestigious Samsung wide tech talk on Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) for Speech Technology, and other four advanced research-based talks of mutual research interest at SRI-B. Prof. Patil and his team worked very closely with Dr. Vikram Vij (Vice President,  Voice Intelligence Group,  SRI-B) and other colleagues at SRI-B. This resulted in synergistic and long term collaboration between DA-IICT faculty and students and top notch scientists of SRI-B. We wish Prof. Patil and his team all success for continued future collaboration with SRI-B.
