JRF Hiring for the DST-GUJCOST Sponsored Project

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for a temporary position to work at DA-IICT on a SUPPORTING R&D IN EMERGING FIELDS OF S&T ON STATE PRIORITY AREAS UNDER STI FUND, sponsored research project financed by the Department of Science and Technology: The Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (DST GUJCOST) (Govt. of Gujarat), India. The project details, requisite qualification & experience etc. are given below:

Title of the Project: IoT Enabled, Smart Micro-Sensor for Integrated Plant Disease Management

Position and Fellowship Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 1 post

Rs. 30,000/- p.m. (All-inclusive for NET/GATE candidates) OR

Rs. 22,464/- p.m. (All-inclusive for non NET/GATE candidates)

Essential Qualifications
  • M.E/M.Tech (Electronics & Communication/ ICT/Electrical/Mechanical) or Equivalent with 60% marks and with GATE qualification. OR
  • B.E./B.Tech. (Electronics & Communication/ ICT/Electrical/Mechanical) or Equivalent with 60% marks and with GATE qualification. OR
  • M.Sc in Electronics/ICTwith 60% marks and with valid CSIR-UGC NET qualification (including lectureship) and Industrial/Research experience will be given preference.
Desirable Qualifications 
  • Understanding of MEMS
  • Understanding of basicsanalog circuits and digital circuits
  • Experience in PCB designing (2 layer/4 layer), Circuit designing
  • Experience in handling oscilloscopes, source measurement units (SMU), LCR Meters
  • Experience in embedded system design and programming in Embedded C.
  • IoT Interface with uP/uC
Period of Appointment: This post is purely temporary and appointment will be made initially for 1 year and further extendable subject to satisfactory performance. It would, therefore, not confer any right for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in DA-IICT. However, the selected candidate will be encouraged to apply for the PhD program of DA-IICT as per the available guidelines.
Job Description Development of the smart-sensors, and generate sensor transfer characteristics, develop IoT enabled circuit design for the fabricated smart sensors and field testing. Need to travel to the agriculture field for the deployments. Application of AI/ML on the received smart-sensor system data.
